Dennis Sheehan, an artist represented by Mark Myers (Myers Contemporary) for almost ten years, sold his first painting at Christie’s last week.
"This sale at Christie’s has been a pivotal step in my career. To have a work of art in such a prestigious venue, and have it sell in this economy at a good price, is extremely rewarding."
Dennis Sheehan, an American-born artist, taught at the Putney School and is a member of The Guild of Boston Artists. His work can be found in major public and private collections, including the White House.
“Dennis Sheehan has a very contemporary handling of the paint surface while working with a traditional subject matter,” says Myers. “His control over the paint skillfully conveys the nuances and dynamic energy of light.”
