NEW YORK, NY – Chelsea’s Agora Gallery will feature the original work of Sheetal Shaw in A Rich Spring Profusion. The exhibition opens April 18 and runs through May 8, 2019 with an opening reception on Thursday, April 18 from 6-8 pm. Any art lover who enjoys thought-provoking artworks and meeting talented and interesting artists is encouraged to attend.

About the Artist

Working across a range of mediums, artist Sheetal Shaw is known for her use of the Indo-Persian motif known as bōˈtā , a teardrop-like shape similar to a paisley. This one form is, for her, a vehicle for personal expression, charting the many dimensions of her inner self.

In Golden Lotus, several of these boteh motif's are arranged to create a floret shaped abstract sculpture. Drops of Boteh is a bronze sculpture reminiscent of an underwater organism.

Glisten I and II portray interconnectedness between two opposing forces.
