Hutter Auctions NYC is proud to present a NYC Fabulous Estates Auction this Saturday, April 12 at 11am. The sale will be strong on fine art.
Many of the consignments represent property removed from two impressive estates-- one at 12 West 18th Street and one in Staten Island. The West 18th Street property represents the acquisitions of a collector with a broad and astute eye, including Modernist work by the Latin American master Rufino Tamayo and an assortment of model ships.
Highlights from Staten Island estate include a collection of Old Master paintings, a large continental porcelain charger painted with the likeness of a young Eastern European woman amid a swirl of gold paste embellishment, two arts and crafts table lamps, and an Italian inlayed chest.
Hutter Auctions will also continue to offer French Modernist paintings from the same collection that has peppered its two most recent sales. This auction will see more works by Roger Derieux, Christian Lemesle, and Bertrand Dorny hammered.
Additional highlights include a collection of Peter Max prints from 110 East End Avenue, assorted fine jewelry, including a limited edition Erte necklace, and watches by Patek Philippe and Lucian Piccard.
All items are on preview at Hutter’s convenient mid-town location, 444 West 55th Street this Thursday and Friday, April 10 and 11th from 10am-7pm and on Saturday morning from 9:30 up until the 11am start of the auction. The full catalog is also available on-line at http://www.hutterauctions.com.
Hutter is still accepting consignments for its May 17, 2014 sale.
