Leon Löwentraut, only 23 years young came in 2020 on the Forbes list "30 under 30" and has long polarized art critics and feuilleton.
For the campaign "#Art4Global Goals" he painted a total of 17 unique works with the support of Unesco, and the You Foundation. These works will be used worldwide until 2030 to publicize and support the Sustainable Development Goals, jointly adopted by the global community and the United Nations.
In 2017, Leon Löwentraut, then 19 years old, was selected as the sole artist for the artistic interpretation of the 17 global sustainable development goals adopted by the UN for the world community. Since then, he has been making a name for himself with the work created by UNESCO's Special Envoy Dr. h.c. Ute-Henriette Ohoven and her daughter Claudia Jerger, the YOU Foundation initiated by UNESCO has been drawing worldwide attention to the importance of the goals. The inaugural exhibition took place at UNESCO Headquarters Paris in 2018. Since then, the cycle has been on display in various museums, including the renowned Pushkin Museum in St. Petersburg, the Palazzo Medici Riccardi in Florence and the Osthaus Museum in Hagen. Among other things, it has already made possible the construction of a school in the slum area of Baraka in Dakar, Senegal. The "Global Gate" designed by Leon Löwentraut, one of the largest mobile art sculptures in the world, which is unmistakably based on the Brandenburg Gate, also serves the #Art4GlobalGoals campaign.
