Wooten and Wooten Auctioneers presents Summer Estates and Collections, a diverse catalog sale that reinforces the company’s strengths and offers a variety of stand-out pieces from prestigious, nationwide estates. In keeping with the success of online auctions, for the first time bidders will be able to participate through four online platforms, Live Auctioneers, Invaluable, Auctionzip, and Asia’s EpaiLive, in addition to in-house, phone, and absentee bidding. With its high quality items and worldwide marketplace, Wooten and Wooten sits poised at the forefront of the auction world. The July 26th auction will bring the successful young company even further onto a global scale.

Now established as leaders in the sale of Southern stoneware, Wooten and Wooten will again wow collectors with pieces like an early Southern alkaline glazed face jug signed “Long” and attributed to Washington County, Georgia or Edgefield, South Carolina. The sale will also feature a recently discovered Dave (David Drake) jar found in an early Central Georgia home, and a rare Moravian squirrel flask.

The July sale will also include a impressive collection of finely carved jade, hardstone, and other Asian antiquities, including an excellent Chinese carved white jade Buddha and two woodblock prints from master Hiroshi Yoshida.  An American Aesthetic carved Japanesque stand and mid-century modern pieces showcase the depth of Wooten and Wooten’s furniture offerings, and paintings by Royal Painter Nicholas Pocock, Thomas W. Bretland, a portrait attributed to American George Cooke, and a landscape by Old Lyme artist Matilda (Van Wyck) Browne are included among many distinguished pieces to be sold in July.  Additionally, Wooten and Wooten will be selling the estate of esteemed Nashville, Tennessee dealer Ann Johnson.
