Lawrence Fine Art will present at the second annual Art on Paper fair, March 3-6 at Pier 36 on the Lower East Side. The show occurs during Armory Art Fair week. The opening night preview will benefit the Brooklyn Museum.
Art on Paper's 2016 Exhibitors will exhibit an incredible selection of works on, about, by, and from paper. Purposeful exhibitions and highly curated projects will speak to the fair's focus, highlighting the special range and diversity inherent to the medium. Last year's inaugural Art on Paper show welcomed 20,000 visitors to the Lower East Side over the fair's four buzzing days.
The gallery will showcase work by artists working in the medium, including wonderful sewn collages by George Schulman, work on mylar by David Einstein, extraordinary watercolors on yupo paper by Harriette Joffe, work by Athos Zacharias, newly-discovered work by Martin Sumers, and fantastic mid-century abstractions by Anna Walinska.
"I think the fair will be an eyeopener for many people," said Gallery Director Howard Shapiro. "Paper is an often overlooked or even dismissed medium. This is a chance for people to see what can be done with and on paper."
The fair is mounted by Art Market Productions. For more information, go to: www.thepaperfair.com/ny.
