Loretta Ana Kaufman to Exhibit in the National Association of Women Artists 133rd Annual Exhibition

Loretta Ana Kaufman’s acrylic painting “Double Monologues I:  Series M” will be part of NAWA’s Annual Members’ Exhibition in New York City in October 2022.

This year there are 205 realistic to cutting edge works that include painting, works on paper, sculpture, photography, mixed media, collage, fiber art, and digital.  Over $10,000 in awards will be distributed.

NAWA has educated, exhibited and empowered relevant and dynamic women artists in the US since 1889.

The exhibition will take place at One Art Space, 23 Warren St. (TriBeCa), New York City, October 20 – 29, 2022.  A Reception will be held on Thursday, October 20, from 6-9 pm.  For more information and gallery hours please contact NAWA at https://thenawa.org or by phone 347-386-9742.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Kaufman is a painter and sculptor in Nashville Tennessee.  Her 2D and 3D work has been exhibited in South Africa, Canada, the United Arab Emirates, South Korea and Italy.  In 2020 the Tennessee Arts Commission curated a retrospective encompassing paintings, works on paper, sculpture and collage. 

Her recent awards include Honorable Mention in 2022 for her acrylic diptych in NAWA’s exhibition, Healing, at the New York Public Library in Manhattan. She also received the Medal of Honor in NAWA’s Annual Exhibition for sculpture in 2020 and the Cutting Edge Award (open to all media) for an acrylic painting in NAWA’s Annual Exhibition in Manhattan 2018. 

In 2017, Loretta was presented with the Albert Nelson Marquis Who’s Who Lifetime Achievement Award for her sustained involvement in the visual arts. 

Loretta’s paintings and sculptures have exhibited and won awards in Fusion Art’s international exhibitions since 2015.  The painting in this exhibition received an Award for Artistic Excellence in Fusion Arts Lines Shapes & Objects exhibition in June 2022.  Her oil painting was published in 2018 in the book of poetry ‘Gate Posts With No Gate – The Leg Paint Project which carries an endorsement from author and curator Sean Hemingway.
