Loretta Kaufman's Paintings are Chosen for Two Art Exhibitions in October

Loretta A. Kaufman is pleased to announce her artwork will appear in two exhibitions during the month of October 2017.
Loretta’s acrylic on canvas “‘Sere Deconstructed II: Circle Of Life Series” is one of 36 works selected from over 400 entries for the 37th Annual Faber Birren Color Award Exhibition.
The competition was endowed in 1980 by world-renowned color consultant and author Faber Birren. Thirty-six national artists were chosen and will present their multimedia representations of color in this diverse show. Over the years, the Faber Birren Color Award Exhibition has grown from a regional exhibit to one of a national scope with over $2,400 in awards.
The exhibition will take place at the Townhouse Gallery in Stamford, CT from September 24th through October 26th, with an opening reception on September 24th between 4-6 p.m. For more information and gallery hours please contact the Stamford Art Association: www.stamfordartassociation.org or by phone at 203-325-1139.
Loretta’s acrylic on canvas “There Is Safety In Numbers (Variation I): Environment Series” is one of one hundred works selected in the Bold Expressions 2017 – Northern California Arts 62nd Annual Open International Exhibition.
Northern California Arts, located in the Sacramento Valley, sponsors this annual show at the Sacramento Fine Arts Center. This year’s theme was “Be Bold, Be Bold, And Everywhere Be Bold”.
The exhibition will take place at the Sacramento Fine Arts Center in Carmichael, CA from October 3rd through the 29th. About the Artist
Loretta Kaufman is a first generation Croatian-American sculptor and painter. Originally from New York, raised in Venezuela, she has lived and worked in the Bahamas and South Africa. Currently Loretta maintains a studio in Nashville, Tennessee. The natural world and the life around us has been the center of Loretta’s art for over four decades. Her work has been described as containing a nice tension between symmetry and fluidity with organic forms undulating and teeming with life.
