PDNB Gallery is proud to announce its second solo exhibition for Elliott Erwitt (b. Paris, France, 1928). The exhibition will cover iconic works from his Magnum years, including his humorous personal work.
There will be memorable images of dogs and funny “Decisive” moments. In addition to these, the exhibition will include important images of political figures such as Fidel Castro, Che Guevara, Richard Nixon, and Nikita Khrushchev.
In 2016, the Harry Ransom Center at the University of Texas, Austin, presented a comprehensive exhibition and companion catalogue of Elliott Erwitt's career, Home Around the World. The photographs ranged from the 1940's to the 2000's. The Harry Ransom Center holds Erwitt's archive.
PDNB will feature his photographs from the 1950's to present time, most recently from Cuba.
Elliott Erwitt is celebrating his 90th year. PDNB Gallery is happy to join in on celebrating his long career as a Magnum photographer, humorist in art and lover of dogs.
Exhibition will run September 8 - November 10, 2018. Opening reception is Sautrday, September 8th from 5 - 8 pm.
