Session I, beginning at 9:30 am EST on Friday, November 15, 2019 will feature an excellent selection of 18th and 19th century glass, lighting, and ceramics. Highlights include an important Bakewell, Page & Bakewell cut-glass mantel ornament with George Washington sulphide bust, circa 1825, one of only two recorded cut examples, a newly discovered and unrecorded specimen; a cut-glass presentation compote with finely engraved steam train, circa 1860, probably C. Dorflinger; a rare cut-overlay five-piece garniture set with 1848 New Jersey wedding provenance; rare blown three-mold articles; early lighting devices; colored candlesticks and vases; rare pressed lacy glass; flint EAPG; and an extensive selection of Staffordshire transferware including many rare American historical views.
