NBCUNIVERSAL TELEVISION CONSUMER PRODUCTS GROUP AND JULIEN'S AUCTIONS ANNOUNCE NEW PARTNERSHIP

Julien's Auctions, the world's premier celebrity estate and entertainment memorabilia auction house announced today a partnership with NBCUniversal Television Consumer Products Group, managers of all global ancillary television business endeavours for the NBCUniversal Television Group. Julien’s Auctions will serve as NBCUniversal’s premiere live auction partner. NBCUniversal will provide entertainment memorabilia from popular series spanning its cable and broadcast networks, to be offered at future live auctions on a continuous basis. The first such auction will take place Saturday, May 7th and Sunday, May 8th in Beverly Hills, California.

 The partnership begins with a live auction event at Julien's Auctionsin Beverly Hills Saturday,  May 7th and Sunday, May 8th, 2011 with various pieces of key memorabilia from NBC series Heroes and The Cape.  Amongst the highlights are several key items from Heroes, including Takezo Kensei’s sword (estimated value  $1,200-$1,500), various paintings (estimates range from $500 - $2,000) and Noah Bennet props (estimate $700-$1,000). From The Cape, there are also several pieces including an actual Cape costume (estimate $2,000-$3,000), The Cape’s Chess costume and chessboard (estimate $1,000 - $1,500), The Cape comic books (estimate $200 -$300) and much more.  

From Creator/Executive Producer Tim Kring and Universal Media Studios, Heroes (2006-2010) is the award-winning epic NBC drama that chronicled the lives of ordinary people who discover they possess extraordinary abilities. Alan Arkush served as Executive Producer/Director, joined by Director David Semel and Executive Producer Dennis Hammer.

The Cape is a one-hour drama series starring David Lyons (ER) as Vince Faraday, an honest cop framed for murder who masquerades as a comic book superhero in order to clear his name. The series premiered on NBC in January and is a Universal Media Studios and BermanBraun production from Executive Producer/Creator Tom Wheeler (Empire), along with Executive Producers Gail Berman and Lloyd Braun (NBC'sMercy), John Wirth (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles), and Gene Stein (Accidentally on Purpose).
