Boston, Massachusetts - The 24th Annual Boston International Fine Art Show (BIFAS) which was scheduled to take place in October has been rescheduled to October 21-24, 2021 at The Cyclorama, Boston Center for the Arts.  The only show of its kind in New England, BIFAS features an outstanding selection of historic, modern and contemporary fine art, and in 2019, for the first time, also included ‘EMERGE’, a special section of the show dedicated to individual emerging and mid-career artists. The show now also includes a select number of exhibitors offering jewelry, silver, oriental rugs and antiques.

"Sadly, Bob Four and I announce that we have decided not to produce BIFAS this October," comments co-producer Tony Fusco. "While numerous exhibitors had already signed up for the 24th annual show we were recently informed that due to COVID-19 the Boston Center for the Arts Cyclorama has cancelled all programs and events at The Cyclorama, its largest facility, through September, 2020. The City and State have already made it clear that large scale events will not be allowed until there is a vaccine for COVID-19. We are unable to move ahead with confidence this year, and would rather postpone that to simply hold on wishing things were different."

The annual show includes a few 23-year veteran galleries that were among the handful of galleries that started the show in the late 1990s, including Questroyal Fine Art (NY) and Martha Richardson Fine Art (MA).  Also a regular at the show is Avery Galleries of Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania, who started exhibiting at BIFAS shortly after opening their doors in 2001.  Numerous other fine galleries have joined the show over the years, including Parco Fine Art in Ipswich, Massachusetts; two internationally-known galleries that specialize in European fine art: Trinity House Paintings (UK) and Guarisco Gallery of Washington, DC.  Adding to the diversity were others already lined up to be present including Brad & Vandy Reh Fine Jewelry (CT) and Silver Art by D & R (France).

"The response from our exhibitors has been supportive and heart-warming and several have already asked us to hold their booth locations for 2021," Fusco adds. "We also want to thank or builders, crew, media sponsors and sponsors, for whom our annual event is always a homecoming.  We look forward to seeing everyone in 2021. Special thanks to the Boston Center for the Arts for making the postponement and rescheduling of the event so easy."

The 24th Boston International Fine Art Show will now take place October 21-24 at The Cyclorama, Boston Center for the Arts, located at 539 Tremont Street in Boston’s South End. A Gala Preview opens the show on Thursday from 5:30-8:30pm. Weekend hours are Friday from 1-8pm, Saturday from 11-8pm, and Sunday 27th from 11-5pm.
