FLYING MURALS OF WYNWOOD & CAMO DEER
Capturing the essence of what the Wynwood Arts District and the Miami art scene have to offer, Wynwood pioneer Tony Goldman will exhibit what he describes as “the flying murals of Wynwood” in the fair’s VIP Lounge. Under his guidance, six 8’ x 24’ murals by international artists, including a Retna work from the Janet and Tony Goldman Collection, an existing piece from How & Nosm, as well as new murals from DAZE, Aiko and Futura, are installed
Goldman has also commissioned a special exhibit by Ron English, who is one of the most prolific and recognizable artists of the day. English’s Camo Deer series of four seasons-inspired murals and sculptures will be installed in six separate vignettes throughout the fair, adding his signature style to Art Wynwood’s landscape.
CURATED SCULPTURES
Art Wynwood is showcasing a specially curated sculpture exhibit spanning several mediums. Displayed throughout the Pavilion, the exhibition will feature Anne Lindberg’s Untitled, Cloud Series (2012) made of metal, wood, acrylic paint and graphite; Ramirez Villamizar’s rusted steel Manto Emplumado No. 2 (1988), Abel Barroso’s mixed media installation Double Identity, Adela Andea’s Space Strings (2012) made of various plastics and neon power sources, as well as Carol Prusa’s Whirl (2010) made of silver, graphite, titanium and acrylic.
