Award-winning High Falls, New York, artist Marlene Wiedenbaum lives and works primarily in the Hudson Valley. She graduated graduated from of Queens College, State University of New York (New Paltz) and attended the Arts Students League in NYC. A Pastel Society of America- Master Pastelist -- her plein-air landscapes, figurative, and still life paintings have been exhibited throughout the United States. 19th century artist Marlene Wiedenbaum has been featured in Art Times; Fine Art Connoisseur/Fine Art Today; The Artist’s Magazine - A “Studio Visit”; American Artists Magazine; ArtTimes; Poughkeepsie Journal; and Catskill Mountain Guide, among other publications. John A. Parks (American Artist Magazine) has said of her work—"By subtly layering pastel, Marlene Wiedenbaum creates a luscious and convincing sense of the world." Her work is among six International Master Pastelists featured in two text books commissioned by the Taiwanese government.
