Back from Spring Break!
March 21, 2011
Happy Spring! I hope you had a chance to step outside to watch the moon rise on Saturday. What an amazing event! We went around the corner to one of the Tall One's favorite fishing holes and watched it glide up over Hutchinson Island. There was a blazing red moon path the crossed the Indian River, right to the shore where we sat swatting at the mosquitoes.
I did a little consumering this weekend. There were plenty of opportunities for folks to help the economy at the gloriously colorful and upbeat ArtsFest 2011. Tom Winter's huge photos have been displayed along the construction fence surrounding the big dig in Memorial Park, and he had a very snazzy display, too. When we walked through the festival it was packed with people, dogs, strollers, art lovers and snow birds.
Everyone was buzzing around Historic Downtown Stuart. There was an antique show and music down by the Riverwalk and people ambling through the Green Market. Stuart was alive with energy this weekend!
This is a new chair I wrestled away from an antique shop this weekend. It was too tempting for the Evil Roxanne. She was sitting on it, in the dark, willing me awake this morning. She is now outside, inspecting the north forty.
