http://www.longislandbiennial.org/index.php/apply
The Heckscher Museum of Art is accepting entries for the Long Island Biennial. Professional visual artists over the age of 18 who live in Nassau and Suffolk Counties may submit entries for the Biennial until April 30, 2016.
Inaugurated in 2010, the Long Island Biennial is a juried competition offering artists an opportunity to show their work to a broader public. Long Island has long been the home of many notable artists and an ongoing source for their inspiration.
This year’s jurors are Lori Bookstein, President, Lori Bookstein Fine Art, New York City; Seung Lee, Professor of Art, Director of Fine Arts and Graduate Studies, LIU Post; and Christina Mossaides Stassfield, Museum Director and Chief Curator, Guild Hall, East Hampton. Accepted media includes paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, photographs and mixed media. The application and guidelines for the Long Island Biennial are available on The Heckscher Museum’s Website, www.Heckscher.org.
