Harper’s Pictorial History of the Civil War, (Annotated) by Kara Walker
This exhibition will feature two prints from Kara Walker's Portfolio "Harper's Pictorial History of the Civil War (Annotated) 2005." Walker uses the Harper’s illustrations as a backdrop for her black silhouettes, an art form borrowed from 18th and 19th century popular culture. Hours: Tuesday-Sunday, 10:00am-5:00pm; Friday, 10:00am-9:00pm; closed Mondays.
