www.slam.org

This summer join the Saint Louis Art Museum outside on Art Hill for classic American films that helped define "cool" in the 1950s and 1960s and continue to inspire art, fashion, and popular culture today. 9 pm. Free. Rear Window (1954, 112 minutes, color) is a suspenseful mystery that combines hot summer nights, cool Grace Kelly, voyeurism, and murder. An injured, homebound photojournalist can't resist watching his neighbors through his apartment's rear window until he imagines one of them has been murdered. Enlisting the help of his high society girlfriend and his nurse, he sets out to catch the killer. Films will not be shown in heavy rain or other inclement weather.
