Between the United States and Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean there is a special bond, a familial connection. The exchange of artists, writers, and musicians between the peoples of the Americas is evidenced through all aspects of culture. Revealed in art are societal forms, social criticism and community customs, with special “flavors” of the individual home countries. These differences are often startling and distinctive and - simultaneously - beautiful and universal. Tobey C. Moss Gallery mounts an exhibition focusing upon these connections by renowned artists Emilio Amero, Rufino Tamayo, Leonora Carrington, Francisco Mora, Alfredo Zalce, Pablo O’Higgins, Jose Luis Cuevas, David Alfaro Siqueiros, Francisco Toledo and many others.
