November Family Sundays: Land Lovers
You’re invited to the Saint Louis Art Museum every Sunday afternoon from 1-4 pm for hands-on art activities and a lively 30-minute family tour through the galleries. Each month’s activities focus on a different, family-friendly theme. Family Tour leaves at 2:30 pm. Family Sundays in November will celebrate the Ancient Americas, highlighting works of art from the Aztec and Maya people, plus objects from Teotihuacán. (Don’t worry—we’ll teach you all about where that is and how to pronounce it!) With a tour of the galleries you’ll discover how Mesoamerican societies viewed their natural world, and then you can take part in art making activities inspired by the mountains, caves, and oceans that surrounded these early civilizations.
