Long Island's Best: Young Artists at the Heckscher Museum of Art, the most prestigious juried competition for high school art students from Suffolk and Nassau counties, features exraordinary works of art in a professionally mounted exhibit in the Museum galleries. Visitors are treated to exceptional artwork by emerging artists.
Long Island's Best, now in its 21st year, received a record number of entries, and jurors took on the challenge of selecting works for the exhibit. This exhibition is the only one of its kind on Long Island that provides students the unparalleled opportunity to exhbit their artwok in a prominent museum and to be featured in a full-color catalog. This year, all of the entires will be shown in a digital display in the Museum that will run for the entirety of the exhibit.
