Outdoor Film Series: Breakfast at Tiffany's
This summer join the Saint Louis Art Museum outside on Art Hill for classic American films that helped define "cool" in the 1950s and 1960s and continue to inspire art, fashion, and popular culture today. 9 pm. Free. Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961, 114 minutes, color) is set in glamorous New York and stars Audrey Hepburn as Holly Golightly, the fashionable "it girl" with a secret. Adapted from the book by Truman Capote, the film combines Givenchy couture, slapstick comedy, and melancholy moments to create a romance with '60s style.
