Currents 105: Ian Monroe
Currents 105 features a new body of work by London-based, American artist Ian Monroe. Inspired by architect Minoru Yamasaki’s innovative terminal building completed in 1956 for Lambert-St. Louis International Airport, Monroe explores a crucial moment in both St. Louis and aviation history. This Currents installation is one in an ongoing exhibition series devoted to the work of contemporary artists. It is also in collaboration with the Freund Fellowship, a two month-long residency in the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts, Washington University in St. Louis, culminating in an exhibition at the Saint Louis Art Museum. Museum Hours: Tuesday-Sunday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm; Friday, 10:00 am to 9:00 pm; closed Monday
