Loretta Ana Kaufman to Exhibit in CICA Museum’s Color 2021

“Animated Forms VI (Family Group): The Blues” by Loretta Ana Kaufman

Loretta Kaufman’s acrylic painting “Animated Forms VI (Family Group):  The Blues” has been selected for CICA Museum’s Color 2021 Exhibition in Gimpo, South Korea.  The exhibition was open to artists worldwide working in photography, 2D digital art, video and interactive art, installation art, painting, drawing, print and sculpture.  33 artists are featured to represent Austria, Estonia, Scotland, Brazil, Israel, France, Russia, England, Korea, and the US with 7 American women artists participating.

The exhibition will take place at the Museum, 196-30, Samdo-ro, Yangchon-eup, Gimpo-si, South Korea from September 22 – October 10, 2021.  For more information with gallery hours and phone number please visit https://cicamuseum.com.

CICA Museum (Czong Institute of Contemporary Art) was founded in 1994 by sculptor Czong Ho Kim.  The complex consists of five buildings designed and built by the artist in a park-like setting 16 miles from the capital Seoul.  The mission of the Museum is to introduce contemporary art produced by artists from different regions and cultures to a global audience.  In 2019 and 2020 “Art Teleported” an exhibition and conference for Nomad Artists was organized by the Museum and held in Brooklyn, NY.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Kaufman is a painter and sculptor in Nashville, Tennessee.   Her 2D and 3D work has been exhibited in South Africa, Canada and the United Arab Emirates.  In 2020 the Tennessee Arts Commission curated a retrospective encompassing paintings, works on paper, sculpture and collage.  Some recent awards are Medal of Honor in the National Association of Women Artists Annual Exhibition for sculpture in 2020 and the Cutting Edge Award (open to all media) for an acrylic painting in NAWA’s Annual Exhibition in 2018 in Manhattan.  Loretta’s paintings and sculptures have been exhibited and received awards in Fusion Art’s international exhibitions since 2015.  Her oil painting was published in the book of poetry “Gate Posts With No Gate – The Leg Paint Project” in 2018 which carries an endorsement from author and curator Sean Hemingway.
